Nestled in the leafy back streets of Prahran, the College Lawn Hotel Garden Bar was an unused function space that had never quite reached its full potential. Visual Builders alongside Newline Design converted this local favourite into a flexible and relaxed space suitable for Melbourne’s unpredictable climate.

The dated pressed metal that encased the bar was replaced by sleek warm timbers, with new bench seating featuring rear planters. Many of the existing features were maintained such as the steel screens and exposed brick, with subtle cosmetic alterations changing the area from tired and dated to smart and modern. Further alterations included a revamp to the courtyard infusing some tropical vibes, while the toilets underwent a complete make-over. This dog-friendly venue continues to evolve and maintains its status as the place to be for Sunday sessions.
